Holistic Wellness + Creative Living Specialist
About Me I am a holistic wellness practitioner specializing in Ayurveda, plant-based culinary arts, and intentional gardening. My approach centers on reconnecting people to embodied health and sustainable nourishment through immersive experience—not instruction—allowing mindful lifestyle practices to unfold organically within daily life and shared environments. With training in Ayurvedic wellness, practical expertise in Ayurvedic intentional gardening & garden design, and a passion for Ayurvedic farm to table cooking, I support people in cultivating vibrant health from the ground up — literally and metaphorically. I’m excited by environments that integrate creativity, wellness, and nature — and that’s why Pompey’s sanctuary ethos instantly resonated with me. Pompey offers a unique blend of architectural creativity, immersive nature, and an environment that aligns perfectly with practices designed to restore balance, nourish the body, and spark inspiration.
Why Pompey Jamaica is a creative estate set amidst lush tropical jungle, designed to foster artistic inspiration, wellbeing, and community connection. It blends architectural beauty with nature, wellness amenities, and immersive experiences for guests and creators. This inspiring setting presents unique opportunities to expand its holistic elements, its organic food systems, and creativity — all deeply synergistic with Ayurvedic principles and experiential lifestyle design. I envision creating immersive wellness ecosystems that harmonize with Pompey’s mission — where creative exploration, physical vitality, and connection to nature converge through subconscious experiences.
I am excited to have the opportunity to share my perspective on how wellness could be integrated into the guest experience at Pompey.
In my time studying and integrating wellness practices, I have found that many popularized and Western healing modalities place the individual first. Individualistic methodologies of healing suggest that by healing yourself, you can begin contributing to your community, and then the world around you. I feel strongly that this methodology is backwards. By connecting with the earth, we heal ourselves and are reminded of our small, but important role, as a part of a much larger ecosystem. I believe the relationship between nature and self ignites a desire to share the beauty and connection with others - deepening our engagement with our community. By giving back - to nature and our peers - we achieve fulfillment and develop relationships which will support us in times of need.
My personal healing journey - across the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual planes - has informed my perspective. All efforts I made to heal from chronic illness that began with the individual, not only failed to produce sustainable results, they were exhausting and depleting. Once I was able to connect with nature - through spiritual practice and ritual, growing and cooking my own food, and horse ownership - I found myself deeply embedded in reciprocity with the earth and the people around me. I developed unique communities across my spiritual practice, gardening, and equine management that have been life giving.
It has been a pleasure to support my communities through their healing journeys across a series of modalities. First, I live in East Oakland, CA which faces food insecurity. To combat this challenge and spread education, I have an organic community garden in my front yard where I grow and share vegetables, herbs, and flowers. I share my love of horses with my community by providing access to my personal horse, Heff, for nervous system regulation. Through Heff, I am able to teach others about the power of Reiki - energy healing - and share that skill both with horses and people. Lastly, I help individuals reconnect to their intuition and inner knowing through my tarot practice that I have grown over the last 20 years.
I would be excited to learn more about how my skills and experiences could be generative for Pompey. It would be an honor to visit to deepen my understanding and learn more about the unique goals for the property. My current understanding leads me to believe that there is an opportunity to enhance the guest experience for Pompey visitors - focusing on wellness - through a connection to the property and the magic of Jamaica. I would be curious to explore how we can help guests begin or continue their healing journey through activities that connect them to nature and one another - in the garden, with the horses, and with the local community. I believe that a wellness program, grounded in a connection to the broader world, would support guest healing, offer a unique differentiating factor for guests, and would increase the number of guests who choose to return to Pompey.
